چکیده

This paper presents the conception of a Smart Low Power Temperature Sensor which is powered using ambient vibration energy. It is presented the architecture of the conception of the sensor to be implemented. This power system will be the main part of the power stage for a self-powered micro temperature sensor inside a distributed sensor network where accessibility to human being operators is very difficult. The oriented application of this system is to sense the temperature in harsh environments or when accessibility is limited to human operators. A full analysis of the sensor is presented. Key-Words: Scavenging, Vibrational sources, Low-Power circuits, bandgap reference, temperature sensor.

WP 22.1 A Micropower Programmable DSP Powered using a MEMS-based Vibration-to-Electric Energy Converter

An ultra-low-power programmable DSP for sensor applications enables systems to be powered by ambient vibration. The three-chip system shown in Figure 22.1.1 consists of a MEMS transducer that converts vibration to a voltage delivered to a conversion IC. The conversion IC creates a stable power supply that provides energy to the sensor DSP load. The system exploits ambient mechanical vibration a...

Self-Powered Signal Processing Using Vibration-Based Power Generation

Low power design trends raise the possibility of using ambient energy to power future digital systems. A chip has been designed and tested to demonstrate the feasibility of operating a digital system from power generated by vibrations in its environment. A moving coil electromagnetic transducer was used as a power generator. Calculations show that power on the order of 400 W can be generated. T...

Nanogenerator as self-powered vibration sensor

article as: A. Yu 006 Abstract Vibration is one of the most popular phenomena that exists in our daily life. Detection of mechanical vibration usually uses laser technology. Here, we demonstrated the first application of a piezoelectric nanogenerator (NG) as a self-powered sensor for detecting the vibration status of a cantilever. By attaching a NG at the surface of a cantilever near the fixed ...
